This Fluidics oil nozzle is a precision component that atomises liquid fuel into a fine spray, enabling complete combustion in the burner. It sits at the end of the oil line, downstream of the pump and solenoid valve, and delivers the fuel cone directly into the combustion head. The nozzle is a consumable part: its internal geometry determines how the flame forms and how it interacts with the air pattern from the blast tube. Oil nozzles are selected by three interdependent parameters: flow rating (in GPH or kg/h at a reference pressure), spray angle (typically between 30° and 80°), and spray pattern (hollow, solid, or semi-solid). The thread size must also match the burner’s nozzle holder. Even if the rating is correct, a wrong spray pattern can cause sooting, pulsation, or unstable ignition. For a replacement to work properly, all three parameters must be taken from the burner data plate. When replacing a nozzle of this type, check that the new unit has the same flow rate, angle, and pattern as the original. Do not rely on the part number alone, as similar numbers may refer to different specifications. Also inspect the nozzle holder and electrode alignment during replacement, because a worn or misaligned holder can distort the spray cone even with the correct nozzle.
