The Fluidics W1-360-50 nozzle is an oil nozzle, a precision consumable component that atomises fuel oil into a fine spray cone for complete combustion. In an oil-fired burner, the nozzle is mounted at the end of the burner lance, downstream of the oil pump and solenoid valve. The spray pattern and droplet size directly determine how the flame sits within the combustion head and how well it mixes with combustion air. Parts of this type are selected by three parameters: flow rate (given in GPH or kg/h at a reference pressure), spray angle (typically 30 to 80 degrees), and spray pattern (hollow, solid, or semi-solid cone). The thread size must also match the burner lance. All three parameters must correspond exactly to the data plate of the burner. A nozzle with the correct flow rate but an incorrect spray pattern can cause sooting, pulsating flame, or unstable ignition, leading to repeated lockouts or poor efficiency. When replacing a nozzle of this class, check the existing nozzle’s stamped rating, angle, and pattern. Clean the nozzle holder and replace the nozzle gasket or O-ring if applicable. Do not overtighten; use the recommended torque. Always verify the pump pressure after replacement. Using a mismatched nozzle may damage the combustion head or heat exchanger over time.
