Brahma CM31F (art. 37106252 / 246.124.251) is a “burner management unit” (burner control unit) that fully automates and monitors the operation of gas burners, ensuring safe ignition and continuous flame monitoring. This device is a key component for stable and economical operation of your heating equipment. Purpose and applications Brahma CM31F is designed for automation of progressive (modulating) atmospheric gas burners with a fan (sealed combustion chamber) operating in intermittent (cyclic) mode. The controller is used in a wide range of heat‑generating equipment: Heating and combination boilers, including hot air guns (e.g., Master BV70, BV110, BV170, BV290, B230, B360 and OKLIMA). Combi steamers, warm air generators, radiant tube heaters and water heaters. Industrial furnaces, IR heaters and other gas equipment. Main functions and features Non‑volatile (hardware) lockout with manual reset: The main feature of this model. In any abnormal situation (e.g., ignition failure or sudden flame loss) the device automatically locks out. To restart, the Reset button on the housing must be pressed manually after the cause has been eliminated. This eliminates the risk of unintentional burner start‑up and meets the highest safety class. Instant ionisation flame monitoring: Flame detection is based on the rectifying properties of the flame. Response time on flame loss is less than 1 second, guaranteeing instantaneous gas shut‑off to prevent hazardous situations. Built‑in high‑voltage ignition transformer: Provides stable and reliable ignition of the fuel‑air mixture without an additional external ignition unit. Two independent safety contacts: A critically important safety feature. The gas valve output is equipped with two independent contacts connected in series. This redundancy ensures backup and eliminates the possibility of gas leakage if one of them fails. High reliability and service life: The service life of electronic components is at least 250,000 operations under maximum load, guaranteeing durability even under intensive conditions. Built‑in electronic protection: A varistor protects against voltage surges, and a built‑in fuse protects against short circuits on outputs (valves, fan, lockout signal). Technical specifications Parameter Value Model Brahma CM31F Article numbers 37106252, 246.124.251 Rated voltage 220–240 V AC, 50/60 Hz (110‑120 V version available) Power consumption 2.5 VA Burner type Atmospheric, progressive, gas, with fan Operating mode Intermittent (must be stopped at least once every 24 hours) Pre‑purge time (tv/tp) 10 seconds Safety time (ts) 5 seconds Waiting time (tw) 10 seconds Response time on flame loss 250,000 operations Compatibility and replacement Compatible burners: Brahma CM31F is suitable for a wide range of progressive gas burners with a fan, including equipment from brands such as Riello, Baltur, Immergas, Weishaupt, Lamborghini. Direct replacement: Article numbers 37106252 and 246.124.251 are identical and fully interchangeable. Accessories: A Microflat‑type connection base (e.g., art. 16023008) is required, purchased separately. The connection diagram is printed on the device housing. Installation and operation Mounting: The device can be mounted in any position. Due to IP00 protection class, it is strongly recommended to install the unit in dry, well‑ventilated locations, always inside a protective enclosure/control cabinet that prevents dust and moisture ingress. Wiring: Always disconnect power before starting work! Strictly follow the correct connection of live and neutral wires, as well as gas valve control and flame sensor circuits according to the diagram on the housing. External protection: It is recommended to additionally protect the unit with an external fast‑acting fuse (the internal fuse is not replaceable). Initial start‑up: Before start‑up, ensure the combustion chamber has been purged, the ionisation electrode is correctly positioned and provides a stable signal current (recommended >5 µA for reliable operation). Lockout reset: When a safety lockout occurs (controller stops starting, red LED lit), find and eliminate the cause (e.g., check gas supply, electrode condition, etc.), then manually press the Reset button on the housing. Maintenance: Periodically check the condition of contacts, wiring integrity, and the cleanliness and position of the ionisation electrode. Contamination or wear of the flame sensor can lead to false trips. Advantages over alternatives Highest safety level: Manual reset (non‑volatile lockout), two independent safety contacts, instant flame monitoring ( 250,000 cycles and built‑in protection against voltage fluctuations. Economy and comfort: Progressive (modulating) power control optimises fuel consumption and reduces the number of burner starts/stops. Easy integration: Compact dimensions (107×81×36 mm) and standard interfaces simplify installation and replacement. Package contents Brahma CM31F burner control unit (art. 37106252) – 1 pc. Quick installation and operation guide. Note: The connection base, ionisation electrode and ignition electrode are sold separately. Storage conditions and warranty Warranty period: Typically 6‑12 months from the date of sale (please check with the seller) provided that installation and operating rules are followed. Storage conditions: Store in a dry place, protected from direct sunlight, at a temperature between –20 °C and +70 °C.
