Brahma RE3 flame detector is a microprocessor-based device designed to monitor the presence of flame in gas and combination burners. It converts the signal from a UV sensor or ionization electrode into a discrete signal, allowing automation systems to safely control the combustion process. The RE3 model is widely used in various industrial and domestic applications, including: Industrial and domestic heating boilers and heat generators; Furnaces for the bakery, metallurgical, and glass industries (e.g., annealing and heating of molds); Grain and wood drying chambers; Semi-automatic ignition systems requiring simultaneous or sequential control of multiple burners. Key functions and features: Universal flame detection: RE3 can work with two most common types of sensors: Ultraviolet (UV) photodetector (e.g., Brahma UV1, UV1/H, UV2/N): used for monitoring gas or oil flame, featuring high response speed; Ionization electrode: uses the flame rectification (ionization) effect, a standard solution for most gas burners. Signal conversion: The device reads the analog current signal from the sensor (e.g., 0.5–20 µA) and converts it into a clear on/off signal, transmitting it via built-in relays to the burner control system. Compliance with safety standards: Designed in accordance with European standard EN 60730, confirming its high reliability and safety for use in flame-critical systems. Visual indication: The front panel features two bright LEDs: Green LED: indicates power supply to the device; Red LED: lights up when a stable flame signal is detected.
