Brahma CE391.4 (30658621) is a “burner control unit” from the EUROBOX series, designed for complete automation and the highest level of safety for atmospheric gas burners with a fan, operating in intermittent (cyclic) mode. The device is ideally suited for both single‑stage and two‑stage burners with a single flame. Purpose and applications Brahma CE391.4 is a key component for intelligent control, responsible for the entire process of ignition, flame maintenance and safe shutdown of a gas burner. It is used in a wide range of heat‑generating equipment: Heating and combination boilers (including Panrad models). Warm air generators and hot air guns. Combi steamers and industrial furnaces. Radiant tube heaters and water heaters. Infrared (IR) heaters and other climate control equipment. The model is compatible with burners from leading brands: Riello, Weishaupt, Giersch, Baltur, Lamborghini and others. Main functions and features Electric reset (volatile lockout): The main feature of this version. Unlike units with a manual reset (Reset button), after a safety shutdown restarting the burner only requires briefly interrupting and then restoring power. This is extremely convenient for systems with remote control and simplifies operation in hard‑to‑reach places. Powerful built‑in ignition: Equipped with a fully solid‑state ignition transformer with a voltage of 20 kV, ensuring reliable ignition of the fuel‑air mixture. Reliable flame control: System safety is based on the ionisation method. The controller reacts instantly to flame loss – response time is less than 1 second. Automatic self‑diagnosis: Each time the device is switched on, it performs an internal check of all key components (flame signal amplifier, air proving relay, etc.), guaranteeing its readiness for safe operation. High reliability and service life: Designed for long‑term operation, withstanding more than 250,000 switching cycles, confirming its durability. Protection against external influences: Built‑in varistor and fuses protect against voltage surges and short circuits. A robust housing made of self‑extinguishing plastic provides reliable protection against mechanical damage, dust and dirt when installed. Technical specifications Key controller parameters to consider when selecting and replacing: Parameter Value Model Brahma CE391.4 Article numbers 30658621, 246.124.064 (identical) Supply voltage 230 V AC, 50/60 Hz (110‑120 V AC version available) Power consumption 9 VA Pre‑purge time (TW / t1) 30 seconds Safety time (TS / t2) 5 seconds Waiting time (tw) 20 seconds Response time on flame loss < 1 second Minimum ionisation current 1.2 µA (0.5 µA on request) Enclosure protection class IP00 (requires installation inside a control cabinet) Operating temperature –20 °C to +60 °C Relative humidity max. 95% at 40 °C Dimensions (W×H×D) 8.5 × 6 × 6.5 cm Weight 0.275 kg Compatibility and replacement Direct replacement: Article numbers 30658621 and 246.124.064 are completely identical and interchangeable. Important: CE391.4 series models may have different timing parameters. For example, a unit with code 30724281 has parameters TW 20 s / TS 10 s and is not interchangeable with this model (which has TW 30 s / TS 5 s) without checking and re‑adjusting the burner. Before purchasing, always compare the TW (pre‑purge time) and TS (safety time) markings on the housing of your old unit with the specifications of this one. Installation and operation Mounting: The device must be installed in a dry, ventilated place inside a control cabinet. This is necessary because of the low IP00 protection class. A Microflat‑type base is required for connection (purchased separately). Wiring: Always disconnect power before starting work! The connection diagram is printed on the housing. Lockout reset: In the event of a safety lockout, first find and eliminate the cause (e.g., gas supply interruptions, dirty electrode). Then disconnect power to the unit for a few seconds and restore it. Maintenance: Periodically check the reliability of contacts, wiring integrity and cleanliness of the ionisation electrode. For stable operation it is recommended that the ionisation current be 3–5 times higher than the minimum value (1.2 µA). Package contents Brahma CE391.4 burner control unit (30658621) – 1 pc.
