Brahma CM32 (art. 30282325 / 246.124.058) is a fully solid‑state microprocessor controller (“burner control unit”) designed for complete automation, reliable monitoring and maximum safety of atmospheric gas burners of progressive (modulating) type with a fan (sealed combustion chamber), operating in intermittent (cyclic) mode. It is designed for controlling two solenoid valves (two‑stage burners) and is suitable for a wide range of heat‑generating equipment. Purpose and applications Brahma CM32 (30282325) is ideally suited for automating gas equipment where high reliability and safety are required. The CM32 “burner control unit” is used in: Gas heating and combination boilers (domestic and industrial); Hot air guns, warm air generators; Combi steamers, radiant tube heaters and water heaters; Industrial furnaces, infrared (IR) heaters; Burners from leading brands (Riello, Baltur, Weishaupt, Lamborghini and others). Important information about timing parameters The CM32 model is available in several versions that differ in pre‑purge time (tv/tp), safety time (ts) and waiting time (tw). For article 30282325 the parameters are preset by the manufacturer. Before purchasing, always compare the marking on your old unit with the specifications of the new one. Typical combinations for CM32: tv/tp = 30 s, ts = 15 s, tw = 30 s (e.g., art. 30280055) tv/tp = 20 s, ts = 10 s, tw = 20 s (e.g., art. 30282325 — probable parameters, but require confirmation) Check the actual values with the seller or from the marking on the housing. Parameter mismatch will lead to improper operation or safety lockouts. Main functions and features Non‑volatile (hardware) lockout with manual reset: The key feature of the CM series. Under any abnormal condition (no flame, ignition failure) the device automatically locks out. Restart is only possible manually by pressing the Reset button on the housing after the cause has been eliminated. This eliminates the risk of unintentional burner start‑up and meets the highest safety class. Instant ionisation flame monitoring: Flame detection is based on the rectifying properties of the flame. Response time on flame loss is less than 1 second, guaranteeing instantaneous gas shut‑off to prevent hazardous situations. Two independent safety contacts: A critically important safety feature. The gas valve output is equipped with two independent contacts connected in series, providing redundancy and eliminating the possibility of gas leakage if one of them fails. High reliability and service life: The service life of electronic components is at least 250,000 operations under maximum load, guaranteeing durability even under intensive conditions. Built‑in powerful high‑voltage ignition transformer: Provides stable and reliable ignition of the fuel‑air mixture without the need to purchase and install an additional external ignition unit. Auxiliary contact: Designed for systems with intermittent power supply (low‑power ignition or control of the main gas valve). Important: This contact is not isolated from the main supply voltage by reinforced insulation, therefore it is not suitable for controlling extra‑low voltage (SELV) circuits. Built‑in electronic protection: A robust housing made of flame‑retardant plastic, a built‑in varistor (protection against voltage surges) and a fuse (protection against short circuits on outputs) ensure reliable operation. Compliance with international standards: Fully complies with European safety standards EN298:1993 and EN298:2003 (classification code FMCLXN), and has a CE certificate (PIN code 0694BR1154). Technical specifications (general for the CM32 series, verify on the housing label) Parameter Value Model Brahma CM32 Article numbers 30282325, 246.124.058 Rated supply voltage 230 V AC, 50/60 Hz (110‑120 V version available on request) Power consumption 2.5 VA / 15 VA (max. start‑up) Burner type Atmospheric, progressive (modulating), gas, with fan Operating mode Intermittent (must be stopped at least once every 24 hours for self‑diagnosis) Pre‑purge time (tv/tp) Check on housing label (presumably 20 s) Safety time (ts) Check on housing label (presumably 10 s) Waiting time (tw) Check on housing label (presumably 20 s) Response time on flame loss 250,000 operations Important: Protection class IP00 means the device has no built‑in protection against dust or moisture. To ensure reliable and safe operation, it must be installed inside a protective control cabinet with a minimum protection rating of IP20. Compatibility and replacement Compatible burners and equipment: Brahma CM32 is suitable for a wide range of progressive gas burners with a fan, including equipment from Riello, Baltur, Weishaupt, Lamborghini. Direct replacement: Article numbers 30282325 and 246.124.058 are identical and fully interchangeable. Accessories: A Microflat‑type connection base (e.g., art. 16023008) is required, purchased separately. The connection diagram is printed on the device housing. Installation and operation Mounting: The device can be mounted in any position. Due to IP00 protection class, it is strongly recommended to install the unit in dry, well‑ventilated locations, always inside a protective enclosure/control cabinet that prevents dust and moisture ingress. Wiring: Always disconnect power before starting work! Strictly follow the correct connection of live and neutral wires, as well as gas valve control and flame sensor circuits according to the diagram on the housing. Molex‑type connectors are provided for reliable connection. Initial start‑up: Before start‑up, ensure the combustion chamber has been purged, the ionisation electrode is correctly positioned and provides a stable signal current (recommended >5 µA for reliable operation). Lockout reset: When a safety lockout occurs (controller stops starting the burner, red LED lit), find and eliminate the cause (e.g., check gas supply, electrode condition, etc.), then manually press the Reset button on the housing. Maintenance: Periodically check the condition of contacts, wiring integrity, and the cleanliness and position of the ionisation electrode. Contamination or wear of the flame sensor can lead to false trips. Operating mode: The unit is designed for intermittent operation. To maximise service life and safety, the system must be forced to stop at least once every 24 hours to perform the built‑in self‑diagnosis. Advantages over alternatives Highest safety level: Manual lockout reset (non‑volatile lockout), two independent safety contacts, instant flame monitoring ( 250,000 cycles and built‑in protection against voltage fluctuations and short circuits. Economy and comfort: Progressive (modulating) power control optimises fuel consumption and reduces the number of burner starts/stops. Easy integration: Compact dimensions and standard interfaces simplify installation and replacement. Package contents Brahma CM32 burner control unit (art. 30282325) – 1 pc. Quick installation and operation guide. Note: The connection base, ionisation electrode and ignition electrode are sold separately. Storage conditions and warranty Warranty period: Typically 6‑12 months from the date of sale (please check with the seller) provided that installation and operating rules are followed.
